Never used for marketing - Your data is only used to provide the service

What Information We Collect
For Registered Users
Username and email address (for signing in and for sending confirmation codes)
Your password, stored only as a salted hash
Retrospective titles and data you create
Cards and action items added to your retrospectives
For Guest Users
Anonymous session ID (to associate your retro data temporarily)
Retrospective data you create
No email or personal information required
For Retrospective Participants
All cards are completely anonymous
We do not collect names, emails, or any identifying information from participants
Only the cards, votes and action items themselves are stored
A random ID in a cookie marks which cards and votes are yours in that browser. It is not linked to any account
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve RetroSprint services:
To create and manage your retrospectives
To display retrospective responses to authorized users
To enable PDF export functionality
To authenticate your account and email you confirmation or password-reset codes (registered users only)
To generate an AI summary when the facilitator asks for one
To count usage (for example retros created per day) without storing who did it
To provide technical support if requested
That's it. We do not use your data for any other purposes.
What We Don't Do
No sharing beyond the service itself - Your data goes nowhere except as described under "Services We Rely On"
No selling of data - We will never monetize your information
No advertising - We don't use your data for targeted ads
No tracking for marketing - We don't profile or track you across the internet
No spam - We don't send unsolicited emails
Services We Rely On
AI summaries - When a facilitator clicks "Summarise with AI", the text of that board's cards is sent to OpenAI to produce the summary. Nothing is sent unless the button is clicked, and no names, emails or account details are included.
Email delivery - Confirmation and password-reset codes are sent to your address through our email provider.
Analytics - We use DataFast to see which pages are visited and where visitors come from. It receives the address of the page you open, the site that referred you and basic device details. It does not receive the responses, votes or names you enter.
Hosting - Data is stored in a managed database with our hosting provider.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
Secure database storage
Passwords stored only as salted hashes
Email addresses confirmed with a one-time code
Regular security updates
Your Rights & Control
You have complete control over your data. You can:
Access your data - View all your retrospectives from your dashboard
Export your data - Download retrospectives as PDF anytime
Delete individual retros - Remove any retrospective whenever you want
Delete your account - Contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data

We use minimal cookies only for essential functionality:
Session cookies to keep you logged in
No advertising cookies
An anonymous ID so the board knows which cards and votes are yours
Analytics cookies from DataFast, which give your browser a random visitor ID and session ID so we can count visits

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page
with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of RetroSprint after changes constitutes
acceptance of the updated policy.
