Free planning poker for agile teams

Estimate stories together in real time. Create a room, share the link, and reveal everyone's cards at once.

Create a room

How it works

  1. 1 Create a room Name it, pick a deck and share the link. Nobody needs an account.
  2. 2 Everyone picks a card Votes stay face down, so nobody is swayed by the first number they see.
  3. 3 Reveal and discuss Flip the cards together, talk through the gaps, then start the next story.

What is planning poker?

Planning poker, also called pointing poker or scrum poker, is a way for a team to estimate work together. Each person privately picks a card for how big a story feels, and all the cards are turned over at the same time.

Hiding the votes until the reveal stops the loudest or most senior voice from anchoring everyone else. When the numbers differ, the highest and lowest voters explain their thinking, and the team votes again until it agrees.

Most teams use the Fibonacci sequence (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13) because the growing gaps reflect how uncertain large pieces of work are. T-shirt sizes work well for early, rough sizing.

Questions

Is this planning poker tool free?
Yes. Rooms, decks and players are all free, and there is nothing to install.
Do my teammates need to sign up?
No. They open the link, type a name and start voting.
Which card decks can I use?
Fibonacci, modified Fibonacci, T-shirt sizes and powers of 2. Every deck includes a "?" card for "I am not sure".
How many people can join a room?
Up to 50 people can vote in one room.
Can I line up several stories?
Yes. The person who creates the room can paste in a whole list, one story per line, and the team estimates them one after another.
What happens after the reveal?
You see every card, the average of the numeric votes and whether the team agreed. The facilitator records the final estimate and picks the next story to point.
